May meeting (2017)

10 05 2017

At our meeting tonight, Lt. Williams with the Columbus Division of Police spoke to us about the Community Police Safe Streets program that will be beginning soon in the Linden area. The program will be a combination of interaction and enforcement that will address the community members’ concerns about crime in our neighborhood. We got to meet most of the officers who will be part of the program and ask them questions. Thank you to Lt. Williams, Officer Riley, and all of the other officers who came out to our meeting tonight in addition to the members of our community who joined us. You’re the reason why we’re here, and we thank you for your support!

As this program moves forward there will be a dedicated email address – we will post the contact information here and at our FB page https://www.facebook.com/MRCABlockWatch/

Jan mtg – guest speaker Samuel Balla, LISW-S

8 01 2017

Please join us for our first meeting of the year. Our guest speaker will be Samuel Balla, LISW-S.  Mr. Balla is a licensed independent social worker – supervisor// Ohio counselor, social worker, marriage and family therapist with extensive experience in management and counseling of individuals with chemical dependencies. He has worked at Southeast, Inc. (which provides mental health, chemical dependency, healthcare, and homeless services) and Maryhaven (central Ohio’s oldest, and probably best known, behavioral health services provider). He will be there to answer your questions about addiction, mental health, resources, and how family members and friends of those struggling with addiction can help (and help themselves).

Please bring your questions.  Let’s learn together!
